Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists &Leprologists Karnataka,Tamilnadu Branch

The Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists was established on 28^th of Jan 1973. It consists of doctors who are specialized in the subjects of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy. It helps the members to arrange academic events, which enriches the knowledge. It also carries out conference, CME’s and workshops to enable the members to update their knowledge in their field. National conferences are held once a year during which members from various states assemble together and share their experiences, listen to experts in the field of Dermatology, Venereology and leprosy.

Karnataka-Tamilnadu branch of IADVL.

Karnataka Tamilnadu branch of IADVL popularly known as KT branch of IADVL is the largest state branch of IADVL. Because of the vast geographic area covered it meets only once a year during the state conference. Neverthless, dermatological societies at various places carry out scientific programmes, clinical meetings CME’S, workshops etc. These local societies are functioning actively at Bangalore (Bangalore Dermatology Society), Chennai (IADVL Chennai chapter),Mangalore & Manipal (Karavali Dermatology Society), Mysore (Mysore Dermatology Society), Coimbatore, and Hubli etc.

Members of the KT branch of of IADVL are actively involved in the deliberation. They have occupied highest post in IADVL. They are also involved actively in scientific and academic activities.

In association with neighboring branches south Zone conference are being held once in 2 years (previously every year). First south zone conference was held in Ernakulam in the year 1990.
